2. Device Permissions & Why We Need Them

To provide you with a smooth and reliable educational experience, our app requests specific device permissions:

  • Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to send real-time chat messages from teachers, upcoming live class notifications, and important academy announcements via Firebase Cloud Messaging and OneSignal.
  • Exact Alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM & USE_EXACT_ALARM): Used strictly to trigger precise, on-time reminders for your scheduled live Quran sessions and classes without missing any sessions.
  • Battery Optimization Exemption (REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS): Ensures that scheduled class reminders and prayer/audio alarms ring reliably even when your phone is in sleep or idle mode.
  • Foreground Service & Audio (FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK): Allows background audio playback when listening to Quran recitations or lectures while using other apps or with the screen turned off.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To create and manage your student or teacher account.
  • To conduct live Quran and Islamic classes and track attendance.
  • To provide seamless one-on-one and group chat between teachers and students.
  • To trigger scheduled class reminders.
  • To ensure account security, verify identity, and prevent fraudulent activity.
  • To troubleshoot bugs, analyze app performance, and improve our services.

4. Third-Party Services & Data Sharing

We never sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties. We only share necessary data with trusted service providers who help us operate the app:

  • Google Firebase: For secure user authentication, database management (Firestore), and cloud storage.
  • OneSignal: For delivering instant push notifications to your device.
  • Cloudinary / Cloud Storage: For secure hosting and rendering of user profile pictures and course assets.

All third-party services comply with strict data protection and privacy standards.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard encryption and security measures (such as HTTPS/TLS encryption and encrypted database storage) to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

6. Data Retention & Account Deletion Policy

We retain your personal data only as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide you with our educational services.

How to Request Account & Data Deletion: You have the complete right to request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

  • Processing Time: Once verified, your account details, attendance records, profile pictures, and chat logs will be permanently erased from our active databases within 7 business days.
